B. Braun Interventional Systems (BIS) announced this week that it has launched its Accel all-purpose and biliary drainage catheters for percutaneous drainage.
The Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based company designed the catheters with TrueGlide hydrophilic coating. They have large oval holes that maximize fluid drainage volume as the hydrophilic coating helps smooth catheter insertion.
BIS said in a news release that adding the all-purpose and biliary catheters completes its percutaneous drainage product portfolio as a full-system drainage solution.
“We are excited to expand our percutaneous drainage portfolio of products with the Accel all-purpose and biliary drainage catheters, now offering a full-system drainage solution to our customers and bringing value to their drainage procedures,” BIS VP Dave Mittl said in a news release. “Our comprehensive portfolio of sizes and configurations is designed to meet patients’ various drainage needs to help improve outcomes.”
