Teleflex this week announced it launched its Arrow Pressure Injectable Midline catheter in Australia and New Zealand.
The Wayne, Pennsylvania-based company designed Arrow to help clinicians overcome catheter identification confusion. The regional launch follows last week’s announcement of the availability of the catheter in Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions.
The new, 20 cm Arrow Pressure Injectable Midline is brightly colored with yellow hubs and labeling. It is available in 1-lumen and 2-lumen configurations, and the TaperFree design assures consistent French size from distal tip to catheter hub to reduce the risk venous stasis. Arrow Pressure Injectable Midline also allows for pressure injection up to 5 mL/second through each lumen.
“The design of this new catheter is a prime example of how Teleflex partners with clinicians to better understand their challenges and then creates solutions to help overcome those challenges,” Alistair McKeon, managing director of Teleflex ANZ, said in a news release. “We are excited to bring the Arrow Pressure Injectable Midline catheter to the market here in Australia and New Zealand, and to provide an expanded product portfolio that addresses various vascular access needs.”
