Fit-LINE’s GrabLOC double containment fittings engineered for demanding fluid processing applications

July 15, 2015 By MDO Editor

GrabLOC non-terminating double containment fittings, compatible with all standard sizes of PFA and FEP tubing, feature a PFA-fitting body and PVDF nut and are designed so the primary and secondary tubes can pass through the fitting body.

To create leak-free fitting assemblies for demanding bulk-chemical delivery applications, Fit-LINE introduces GrabLOC double containment fittings for terminating and non-terminating installations.

Fit-LINE, a fittings supplier to the Semiconductor, Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Ultra-Pure Water industries, focused the company’s over 20 years of fluoropolymer injection molding and fitting expertise to create GrabLOC fittings.

GrabLOC non-terminating double containment fittings, compatible with all standard sizes of PFA and FEP tubing, feature a PFA-fitting body and PVDF nut and are designed so the primary and secondary tubes can pass through the fitting body. This allows chemistry to flow back to the supply source if the primary tube leaks.

GrabLOC terminating double-containment fittings feature a PFA-fitting body and PVDF nut and allow termination of the outer containment tubing. This stops chemistry flow at the outer containment tube connection if the primary tube leaks. These fittings are compatible with all standard sizes of PFA and FEP tubing.

To ensure leak-free fitting assemblies, Fit-LINE has developed GrabLOC Wrenches, patent-pending, simple to use torque wrenches designed to fit into tight spaces and easily tighten ½, ¾, one and 1 ¼ inch fittings to a preset stop.

“In developing the GrabLOC series, we listened to fluoropolymer tube-in-tube manufacturers and equipment manufacturers,” said Frank Hayes, Fit-LINE product manager. “Their input was invaluable in designing our double containment fittings.”
