Potrero Medical today announced that it has appointed Steve Okland as chief commercial officer.

Prior to joining the sensory integrated foley catheter company, Okland has served on the leadership teams at Second Sight Medical and DryShield. He has also held sales and marketing leadership roles at Miramar Labs, Medivance, Spectranetics and Boston Scientific.

“We are excited to welcome Steve to Potrero as we look forward to continuing to prepare Potrero for increasing growth to deliver our life-changing technology to patients, healthcare professionals and hospitals,” CEO Joe Urban said in a news release. “Steve’s proven track record as a catalyst in driving market adoption of new technologies along with experience as a chief commercial officer is what is required for Potrero to continue our growth strategy.
