Technomed to launch advanced solvent dispenser for tubing assemblies

February 5, 2020 By Danielle Kirsh

technomed-ds-visionTechnomed is set to launch its DS-Vision advanced solvent dispenser for bonding medical tubing.

DS-Vision is a machine that helps medical equipment and device manufacturers improve quality control systems while lowering the rate of non-compliant plastic bonded products, according to the company.

Technomed’s machine features a built-in quality control system that helps operators ensure each step of production is properly followed using visual and audible cues. It also offers downloadable production metrics to help managers control and evaluate post-production outcomes and inform of future production planning. The full color, touch screen display gives operators real-time information related to productivity.

“In the past, manufacturers couldn’t quite control the variables of the bonding process. We now have a machine that can provide real-time information to optimize compliance and lower risks,” CEO Vico Giavotto said in a news release.

The system is designed for cyclohexanone and alternative solvents. It confirms the presence of solvents on each tube to be assembled, gathers production data for bonding results and dispenses a consistent amount of solvent with an improved delivery system.

The company plans to unveil the technology at MD&M West in Anaheim, Calif., Feb. 11-13.
