Vention Medical has expanded its extrusion offerings to their online store, offering 25 new and different configurations of PEEK extrusion tubing.
It offers 30 different sizes of extrusion tubing, with PEEK’s extrusion sizes ranging from 0.5 FR to 13 FR, an OD of 0.051 mm to 4.267 mm and wall thickness ranging from 0.424 mm to 4.26 mm. Custom sizes can be ordered as well to fit custom extrusion specifications.
Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is light, strong and thermoplastic polymer that has excellent strength and heat endurance. Those features allow this polymer to replace metal in several medical applications, including high-temperature sterilization. It produces less friction and is a popular choice for catheter-based applications.
