Argon Medical Devices today announced that it has commercially launched its Skater Mini-Loop drainage catheter in the U.S. and Europe.
Frisco, Texas-based Argon developed the catheter as a minimally invasive way to remove or drain unwanted fluid collection. It is an expansion of the company’s Skater All-Purpose and Nephrostomy drainage portfolio.
The Skater Mini-Loop uses a 40% smaller loop to help secure the catheter and drain fluid from smaller cavities. It is easily inserted and forms a tight loop formation to prevent drainage occlusion. Skater Mini-Loop is also compatible with alcohol and can resist kinking, according to Argon Medical Devices.
“Argon’s Mission is to deliver innovative, best-in-class medical devices to improve the customer experience and the lives of their patients. We are excited to complete our SKATER™ portfolio of drainage solutions and celebrate this next launch in our year of innovation,” president and CEO George Leondis said in a news release.
