Photometrics, a designer and manufacturer of high-performance CCD and EMCCD cameras for the life sciences, showcased its Prime 95B Scientific CMOS Camera at BIOMEDevice Boston. It has 95% quantum efficiency backside illuminated scientific CMOS, making it the first available scientific CMOS sensor with backside illumination. It also features 2 real-time processing features like PrimeEnhance and PrimeLocate. PrimeEnhance increases the signal to noise ratio by 3 to 5 times to increase the clarity and quality of images. PrimeLocate evaluates images and reduces the data generated during high-speed super-resolution imaging.
