Karl Storz U.S. and Fujifilm Healthcare Americas today announced a partnership to provide comprehensive solutions for endoscopists and surgeons.
The companies plan to jointly market Fujifilm’s flexible gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopes along with Karl Storz’s OR integration solutions. Together, they aim to enhance the experience for surgical ORs, routine and interventional hospital GI suites and ASCs. They want to provide cutting-edge, flexible endoscopes in GI and surgical OR procedure settings.
Karl Storz and Fujifilm say the GI offerings can help achieve greater efficiency while impacting patient care. Flexible GI scopes play crucial roles in colorectal, rectal and bariatric surgery, plus routine and interventional GI procedures.
“We’re excited to work with Fujifilm to deliver the next generation of innovation to endoscopists, surgeons, and their patients. Karl Storz offers unrivaled enterprise expertise in integrated workflow delivery and network-based solutions, while Fujifilm continues to set the standard in flexible GI endoscopy,” said Christy Gaudet, VP of surgical sales & marketing at Karl Storz U.S. “With our combined resources, we are redefining a modern-day GI suite, where all digital content in aggregate may contribute to elevated patient care.”
The companies plan to approach the market together to offer Fujifilm GI endoscopes with Karl Storz OR integration solutions. They plan to work collaboratively to “evolve the state of care delivery.”
Taisuke Fujita, GM of endoscopy at Fujifilm Healthcare Americas, said the partnership aims to advance patient care.
“As innovators in endoscopic imaging, we understand that endoscopists and surgeons can benefit greatly with access to more comprehensive image and video routing and display that further optimizes visualization during intraoperative and therapeutic procedures,” said Fujita.
