Reflow Medical announced today that it opened a European subsidiary in Landsberg am Lech, Germany, to expand outside the U.S.
The company said its strategic expansion strengthens its international presence and enhances its ability to serve markets globally.
SVP and GM Knut Saurteig leads the subsidiary, called Reflow Medical Europe GmbH. Under his leadership, the subsidiary’s focus centers around establishing direct sales channels and forging strategic distribution partnerships across multiple regions.
“Expanding into markets outside the U.S. marks a significant milestone for our company,” said Isa Rizk, Reflow co-founder and CEO. “This presence allows us to better address the needs of international markets by providing direct sales solutions and forming key distribution collaborations. Our goal is to deliver breakthrough technologies that support physicians and improve patient outcomes worldwide.
Sauerteig said the company plans to continue to expand its presence across the world. He said it intends to build direct sales organizations and strengthen distribution partnerships as well.
Reflow develops medical devices designed to fill unmet clinical needs in the treatment of complex cardiovascular disease. Its portfolio includes the CoraCatheters line of coronary microcatheters, plus unique peripheral catheters. Additionally, the company’s Spur retrievable scaffold system has CE mark for treating restenotic lesions in below-the-knee arteries, when used in conjunction with a commercially available drug-coated balloon.
“This expansion enables us to streamline product distribution, significantly reducing delivery times and enhancing service reliability. These factors are critical to maintaining high quality standards in the medical device industry,” said John Fulkerson, co-founder and COO of Reflow Medical.
